NZ Pick Dan at 12

Regular All Black flyhalf, Dan Carter, will start Saturday's Bledisloe Cup test against Australia in Hong Kong at inside centre with Stephen Donald wearing the number 10 jersey.

All Black coach Graham Henry says both players haven't been on the field since the Tri-Nations final. He also felt it would be useful to start both navigators with the right-footer/left-footer combination providing some flexibility.

Henry's All Blacks are in a re-building phase after a mass-exodus of players after last year's world cup. Hosea Gear will make his international debut on the right wing on Saturday after a string of solid performances this year.

Former Crusaders and current Wallaby coach Robbie Deans says he wasn't particularly surprised at Carter moving to centre, saying that worked well for them in the Brisbane test during the Tri-Nations. After Saturday's test, the All Blacks play Scotland, Ierland, Wales and England.
