Womens cricket team takes full responsibility

The South African Women's Cricket Captain Sunette Loubser said on Wednesday that the team was taking full responsibility for their disappointing performance at this year's World Cup in Australia.

The Proteas finished bottom of the log because they only won one of their four games and as a result, failed to make the top six of the competition.

Loubser said the winning should have started in their first game against the West Indies.

The team failed to make high scores at the tournament and Loubser said their batting was one of their downfalls.

"Against the West Indies we didn't score enough runs. The top six didn't take the responsibility they needed to. The only game that the batters performed well in was against Australia, where we gave them a good game," she said.
